We are looking for an experienced, versatile, and culturally agile Talent Acquisition (TA) Specialist to lead our global sourcing and recruiting for the US, Canada and UK. The TA Specialist will be accountable for the design and implementation of recruitment strategies and practices. The position reports to the HR Manager.

His/her role is to develop a relationship and understanding with the hiring directors and managers at GMED to capture the nuances of each role and know how each specific opportunity fits into the overall team structures. More specifically, the TA Specialist must work closely with our Compliance and Qualification department to ensure our talent acquisition process meets our business needs, the regulatory requirements with respect to GMED’s accreditation.

Essential Functions

  • Supports, plans, develops, and executes on global recruiting strategies including sourcing, recruiting best practices, strategic onboarding processes, and partnering with internal stakeholders on longer-term recruiting initiatives
  • Builds the skills and commitment of hiring managers to follow best practices in all stages of the talent acquisition life cycle
  • Continuously innovates on talent acquisition initiatives that are aligned to GMED NA’s values and strategic priorities
  • Meets with stakeholders regularly to evaluate inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
  • Be a trusted advisor to internal leaders focusing on implementing talent attraction strategies for both current and new business pursuits
  • Identifies and utilizes multiple creative sources to access passive talent in the marketplace, leveraging technologies, social media and targeted events to represent and develop GMED’s employer branding
  • Monitors and effectively shares competitive intelligence on key talent and key talent acquisition practices across the industry
  • Works with HR Manager and Director of Marketing to build a strong employer brand to support the acquisition and retention of top talent
  • Provides weekly and monthly progress reports to stakeholders and ensures accuracy of information stored in the TA recruitment systems
  • Undertakes additional projects and duties to support the TA team as appropriate
  • Leverages our digital solutions (ATS, Assessment tools…) to provide support and guidance to hiring managers,
  • Nurtures a pool of candidates for Medical Device auditor(s), evaluators and other types of profiles, and evaluates their qualification’s opportunities based of the company’s needs and against the regulatory requirements defined by the European Medical Device Directives and Regulation, and Quality Management System Standard(s) including ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2018 and ISO 13485:2016 MDSAP.

Who You Are

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Demonstrates success independently executing projects, targets, and mid-term, long-term objectives as well as leading people towards achieving targets and deliverables.
  • Strong stakeholder management and stakeholder engagement experience including influencing senior leaders.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Talent Acquisition experience with a strong understanding of recruitment processes including technologies
  • Prior experience in project management and delivery
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the European medical device Directives and Medical Devices industry and recruiting best practices
