Launch of the Unique Device Identification (UDI) Helpdesk

On May 17, 2021, the European Commission launched a new helpdesk to assist economic operators in the implementing the obligations and requirements of the new UDI system introduced by the Regulations (EU) 2017/745 and (EU) 2017/746 and applicable from May 26, 2021 and May 26, 2022, respectively.

This helpdesk includes UDI assignment, labelling and registration of devices. It also provides support on the use of the European Medical Devices Nomenclature (EMDN).
