LNE-GMED UK celebrates 1 year as a UK Approved Body!

After obtaining UKAS ISO/IEC 17065:2012 accreditation, LNE-GMED UK (part of LNE Group) was originally appointed by the UK Government Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as an Approved Body (8521) in November 2022.

The accreditation’s scope covers the Non-automatic Weighing Instrument Regulations 2016, the Measuring Instruments Regulations 2016, and the Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Regulations 2001, as amended.

Subsequently, LNE-GMED UK was appointed by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLUHC) as an Approved Body under the Construction Products Regulation.

Since the above appointments, LNE-GMED UK actively provided certification services to over 50 companies worldwide and has issued close to 150 UKCA certificates for metrology, construction products and noise emission.

Despite the regulatory environment evolving sometimes suddenly, LNE-GMED UK is trusted by manufacturers for their UKCA marking and OIML certification needs, as well as for CE marking and ISO 9001 certification in conjunction with LNE Group.

LNE-GMED UK will soon expand its certification activities as an Approved Body to include Medical Devices, Active Implantable Medical Devices and IVDs to almost mirror the scope of the parent company, GMED SAS EU Notified Body. Once designated by the MHRA, this will enable LNE-GMED UK to provide UKCA marking services and also CE marking, MDSAP, ISO 13485 services in conjunction with GMED Group.
