Tom Patten, IVD International Manager for the GMED Group

We are pleased to announce that Tom Patten has joined the GMED Group as IVDR/IVD International Manager. Tom also brings broad and varied experience from within the IVD sector having worked in various laboratories and in product development and R&D for molecular oncology devices. Most recently, for the last 5 years, Tom has worked for a notified body and was a key part of achieving designation under IVDR 2017/746. Tom also holds the position of secretary of the executive committee of the NBCG-Med. This group is responsible for co-ordination activities of the wider Notified Body group for medical devices and IVD devices.

Tom’s arrival will contribute to the GMED Group’s development ambitions in this field, which has been strongly impacted by the implementation of the European regulation on in vitro diagnostic medical devices.
