On 21st October 2022, the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has just informed the industry stakeholders of a twelve-month extension to the current standstill period, aiming to bring the new regulations into force in July 2024.

This will ensue that the future regime is robust and reflects the detail required to avoid disruption to supplies, support innovation and enable safe access to Medical Devices for UK patients.

It should be noted that these transition requirements are not yet documented into UK regulation and as such are subject to change.
